OVERVIEW
Underdoggs Whitefield is a 10,570 sq. ft. sports bar and dining destination in Whitefield, Bangalore, designed as an immersive venue for match viewing, food, drinks, and live entertainment.
RESTORE POV
The concept centres on Warm-Up — the charged, ritualistic build-up before the match begins, when anticipation heightens and energy gathers. This idea is translated into a three-part journey that moves from arrival and anticipation to stadium-like immersion, and finally to open-air celebration.
DETAILS
Guests arrive through a tennis club–inspired forecourt. A fully glazed façade reveals curated sports memorabilia and suspended ball sports installations, creating a transparent and theatrical street frontage.
Inside, the arena is organized with stadium-style seating and dining clusters strategically oriented for uninterrupted sightlines to two large-format screens positioned at either end of the linear volume.
A commanding UD logo installation defines the central axis, with the main bar placed directly beneath it as both operational core and social fulcrum. Beyond, a corridor transforms into a curated “Wall of Fame,” where team flags and memorabilia intensify anticipation as movement builds toward the terrace.
The terrace expands as an open-air entertainment deck, anchored by an outdoor bar framed with a cricket-bat art installation. A large overhead screen draws the entire crowd toward the bar during live matches, shifting the space into a shared stadium-like spectacle.
Tables feature sport-inspired surfaces referencing cricket and tennis, while forms subtly informed by athletic cues. A gaming zone with billiards and foosball, alongside a large performance stage for bands and events enables the venue to transition from pre-match build-up to full-scale celebration.
