As The Sleep Company partnered with Restore Design, the mandate was to redefine how the brand would be experienced in physical space: to evolve from a mattress-led retailer into a premium, immersive comfort destination while preserving the technological foundation that defines the brand. Conceived as The Cocoon of Comfort, the store transforms shopping into a progressive journey from curiosity to deep rest.
DETAILS
A reflective glass facade presents the store as a luminous urban cocoon, drawing visitors inward through softly carved entrances while mirroring the sky and absorbing its blues. The brand’s Smart Grid language, expressed in its signature light blue, weaves across the facade, reminding visitors that within softness lies structure, and within comfort lies engineering.
The journey begins with the Comfort Lab, a refined micro-environment where knowledge is positioned first, decoding innovation and AI-driven technology before customers encounter products within curated living environments styled as premium home scenes. Recliners are elevated on a blue podium, forming a stage of comfort that represents the active, social layer of the experience.

The upper floor unfolds as a tranquil sleep landscape where zoned beds and accessories create pockets of intimacy within an open, airy environment. At its center, a highlighted recliner bed anchors the space, framed by floating cloud-like lighting and sheer blue curtains that cascade softly behind, forming an atmospheric backdrop. Technology continues to integrate seamlessly through chair and sleep systems that expand the brand’s comfort universe.
The experience culminates within the sculptural AI Cocoon wrapped in deep blue, where light, sound, and enclosure shift the atmosphere into a night-sky immersion. Customers experience an adaptive mattress that responds in real time as an integrated screen above displays live configuration and personalization data. The product responds. Adapts. Demonstrates intelligence. This is not a display but an encounter, where the journey culminates and understanding transforms into a lived experience.
