UPPERCASE is a brand that seamlessly blends fashion-forward design with environmental consciousness, offering travel gear made from recycled plastic for the mindful consumer.

For UPPERCASE’s new retail identity, we envisioned a space that embodies two core ideas: movement and sustainability. Dynamic design elements evoke a sense of constant motion, while accents inspired by recycled plastic bottles underscore the brand’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Merging travel energy with sustainability, Uppercase offers a modern, purpose-driven retail experience.

THE DETAILS

From the moment customers walk in, they are invited to not just shop but to be part of the conversation with the brand.

Right from the facade decal artwork showing a shower of plastic bottles being transformed into suitcases, the story of post-consumer waste to product is highlighted throughout the store.

Drawing inspiration from metro and train station tunnels, the stores have an asymmetric curved ceiling with concrete grey walls. A moving LED ticker runs the length of the store and evokes constant motion. Floor displays are set on pallet racks as used for goods transport.

The highlight displays are set against an illuminated backdrop in the shape of a plastic bottle, highlighting the brand’s focus on sustainability. The plastic bottles reoccur in laser-cut detailing on the edges of shelves.

When shopping at Uppercase, the customer knows they are supporting a circular economy.
