Manon Foucraut, Interior Designer at Restore, has been selected as one of the recipients of VMSD’s Designer Dozen Award, 2015. The award recognizes break-through achievements of young designers in retail that redefine their organizations and the industry, and celebrates innovators who have the potential to take the industry forward.
Her striking store designs for leading Indian and international brands across multiple categories has won her a much-deserved place among the Designer Dozen. Focusing on a central defining idea instead of concentrating on recreating designer signatures, her designs have always had a distinctive well thought out quality. As a French designer in India, she met the challenges of comprehending an entirely foreign market and consumer base to come up with designs that transcended these apparent restrictions. A fresh perspective and openness to a brand new cultural experience has led to a creative take on every project she has taken up. This is precisely the proactive attitude that the Designer Dozen Award celebrates.
Manon Foucraut joined Restore as an intern and now works full time. Some of the work she has been awarded for was done as an intern, a clear indicator of the unusual talent that would come to be nurtured at Restore. Restore Solutions is one of the top 5 retail design studios in India, welcomes interns from across Europe and North America. Bringing a brand alive in the retail space, Restore always keeps its eye on the bigger picture while crafting every little detail and nuance of the retail experience: the key to its design successes, something Manon has inculcated and demonstrated as well.
