OVERVIEW
Kumari is a contemporary jewelry destination reimagining luxury—making fine jewelry an everyday expression rather than an occasional indulgence. Designed for a younger fashion-forward audience, Kumari bridges the world of precious stones with the accessibility of beauty and fashion accessories, offering pieces that feel personal, and effortlessly stylish.
RESTORE POV
Kumari’s first store at Kala Ghoda is driven by the idea of Jewelry as Fashion. It shifts away from traditional, transactional experience jewelry retail and creates a space where jewelry is not just displayed, but experienced. The environment is a balance between playful exploration and refined elegance, inviting a new generation to form a lasting relationship with fine jewelry—one that evolves alongside their style and journey with the brand.
DETAILS
The façade establishes a prominent street presence, celebrating rose gold bling and signature Kumari hearts motif. By night, integrated lighting transforms the storefront into a radiant focal point and is as much an art installation as it is a retail showcase.
Inside, a neutral monochrome palette—soft and understated—creates a warm environment that highlights diamonds and precious stones in harmony with skin tones. A cascading Kumari heart-shaped chandelier anchors the double-storey lobby space, complemented by rose gold accents and integrated lighting that flows throughout. Terrazzo style flooring grounds the space in understated quiet luxury, while black skirting injects contrast and a youthful edge.
Subtle Kumari pink accents reveal themselves in thoughtful details— hidden within drawer linings, tucked into pull-up mirrors, rippled cushions at select counters and in trial stations, the cash desk, and the gifting station. Integrated lighting is woven within the frames of display fixtures, highlighting each piece without overwhelming the space and allowing the jewellery to stand out. A full-length trial mirror, framed like a fashion magazine cover, adds a playful yet stylish twist to the shopping experience, mimicking the feel of a social media filter enhancing the sense of self-expression that Kumari embodies.
The ground floor showcases the main jewelry with natural stones, while the first-floor contrasts this with lab-grown diamonds. A self-browsing section with wall displays and fixtures allows for independent exploration at their own pace. Traditional consultation areas balance this with personalized guidance.
