Koskii means girl in Mythili. Koskii creates what is probably the most important purchase for an Indian wedding: the lehenga. The retail design solution had to be unlike any other simply because the product is a celebration of a very special day in a girl’s life.

Shopping for a wedding lehenga is an experience unlike any other. It is an emotional moment not just for the bride, but for the whole family. And most ethnic brands simply stack up products. We decided to turn this thinking on its head. We opened up the product and romanticized the details.

DETAILS

The store has been designed with the thoughtfulness and love that goes into the making of a lehnga. We found our architectural inspiration for the store in the traditional havelis of India.

The large & grand entry staircase gives the bride a sense of royalty, as she begins the preparations for her big day. The double height ceiling, accentuated with a bronze mirror and a chandelier, signal grandeur. The product presentation on mannequins beneath the “Haveli” arches on the mezzanine accentuate a sense of exclusivity. The décor lights, fitting rooms, product displays and selections, all magnify the sense of celebration and joy that envelopes a home when a wedding is to take place.
